Implementing Global HR: From Enterprise Model to Live Workforce · Module 7 · Grades, Grade Rates and Grade Ladders
Grades in assignments and positions
Lesson 77 of 175 · 8 min
Set valid grades on a job, set the grade on a position, hire a worker and watch the grade constraint apply. Look at the grade and step on the assignment, then see what happens when a grade is not valid for the job. This closes the loop with the jobs and positions module. Valid grades are a control that prevents a genuinely common data quality problem — and it is cheap, which is unusual for a control.
