Implementing Global HR: From Enterprise Model to Live Workforce · Module 7 · Grades, Grade Rates and Grade Ladders

Creating grades and grade steps

Lesson 74 of 175 · 11 min

Create grades in a set. Create a stepped grade with five steps. Set the reference data set placement, configure the grade attributes and the sequence, and look at effective-dated grade changes. Grade sequence drives ordering everywhere grades appear. Set it deliberately, or every list of grades in the product sorts meaninglessly — alphabetically, which puts grade 10 before grade 2.
