Receive against an expected receipt using each routing, enter quantity, lot and serial where required, show an over-receipt hitting the tolerance, receive an unordered item, and show the receipt document and traceability. Lot and serial capture happens at receipt. This is where the inventory module's decisions become an operator's daily reality — worth saying while the lot prompt is on screen, because it is the moment the burden becomes visible. Over-receipt behaviour should be tested before go-live. It always happens.
