Provisioning implementation and business users

Lesson 14 of 188 · 13 min

Open the Security Console. Create an implementation user with the implementation consultant role plus employee, then four business users — engineer, supervisor, operator, cost accountant — and assign job and abstract roles per the reference card. Run the role regeneration process, sign in as one, confirm the role took effect — and confirm the page is empty. Ending on the empty page is deliberate. You should feel the problem before the solution is explained. It is not resolved here and it is not apologised for. Every user needs the employee abstract role. Missing it produces a broken home page and no obvious cause. And role changes require regeneration, and often a fresh sign-in. Both.
