Build an operational analysis — open payables by supplier. Add a filter and a prompt. Build a simple dashboard combining two analyses. Look at the subject areas available and how to find the right one. Then show scheduling and delivery. Subject area selection is the skill here. The wrong subject area produces a report that runs perfectly and answers a different question, which is the hardest kind of wrong to notice. And remember the trade-off this side of the line carries: transaction-level and real-time, which is the opposite trade-off from the cube — slower on aggregation, current to the second.
