National identifiers and addresses

Look at the national identifier types per legislation and the delivered validation. Enter a valid identifier and a deliberately invalid one, and watch the validation behave. Look at where validation can be adjusted. Then configure address style and validation per country, enter addresses in two countries with different formats, and see the geography dependency arriving from the foundation module. National identifiers are among the most sensitive fields in the system. Restrict visibility through the security profiles and consider masking — raised here even though the mechanism lives elsewhere, because the person configuring this field is the person who needs to think about it. Validation rules are legislation-specific and delivered. Do not disable them casually — they exist because the identifier has a checksum or a format rule, and switching the check off does not make bad data good.
