Creating person and job rate schedules

Lesson 59 of 198 · 14 min

Create a job rate schedule; set the schedule type as cost, bill or both. Add jobs and rates. Create a person rate schedule for two named exceptions, set effective dates, show rates applied to a transaction, and show a rate override at project level. Schedule type — cost, bill or both — is set at creation. Decide before building. RATES COME FROM FINANCE AND THE COMMERCIAL TEAM, IN WRITING. Never estimate them; they are the most commercially sensitive numbers in the system. Person schedules should be the exception. If you find yourself adding fifty people, the design is wrong — and that is worth saying while adding the second one.
