Administering Cloud EPM: The Platform Beneath the Business Processes · Module 3 · Cloud Account, Identity Domains and Regions
Subscribing to and replicating regions
Lesson 34 of 201 · 10 min
Show the current home region and what that means. Navigate to region management, subscribe to an additional region, and show what becomes available once you have. Then explain replication — what it does for identity, and what it does not do for environment data. Subscribing to a region does not move your environments. It makes the region available to provision into. That distinction is the whole lesson, and it is the one learners get wrong. Identity domain replication and environment data are different things. Replicating a domain to a second region does not replicate your EPM data — the continuity module is where that gets handled properly. Subscribing to regions you do not need widens the estate you have to govern. Subscribe deliberately.
