Department classifications and reporting establishments

Classification is the mechanism that lets one organization carry several roles. Classify an organization as both a department and a reporting establishment, configure the reporting establishment attributes used for statutory workforce reporting, and see where classifications drive which setup pages appear. One organization with several classifications beats several organizations — fewer objects, and nothing to reconcile between them. And reporting establishments matter for statutory headcount reporting in several countries. Ask the country HR leads whether they file anything at establishment level. If they do, this is not optional — and it is another question for the structure workshop rather than a configuration decision you make alone.
