Work order close and exceptions

Close a completed work order and show what close does — no further transactions, ready for costing. Show a work order that will not close, and diagnose why. Cancel an unreleased work order, show work order exceptions and how a supervisor manages them, and show the work order status report. Closing matters for costing. An open work order with residual WIP holds value that has not landed anywhere, and the close module's variance analysis depends on closure discipline. Work orders left open indefinitely are a real and common problem. Build a review process into the client's runbook — with a name against it, like everything else in this course's runbooks.
