Implementing Project Portfolio Management: From Organization Structure to Recognized Revenue · Module 9 · Project Plan Types and Financial Plan Types

Creating a financial plan type

Lesson 95 of 198 · 13 min

Create a financial plan type: name, plan class. Enter basic information and setup options. Assign sets and specify plan settings — the reference data assignment and the core plan behaviour. Assign the planning RBS, set whether the plan holds cost, revenue or both, and save. Cost-only, revenue-only, or both is a real choice. A cost forecast and a revenue forecast are different conversations with different owners. The RBS assignment must be a structure ENABLED FOR FINANCIAL PLANNING — Module 8's setting, and failure case one when it was not. Set assignment matters for the same reasons as everywhere else.
