Currency and rate settings

Lesson 97 of 198 · 12 min

Select currency settings — project currency, project ledger currency, and which are enabled on the plan. Set conversion attributes. Select rate settings — which rate schedules the plan uses for cost and bill. Show a plan in two currencies, and a rate change affecting a regenerated plan. Multi-currency projects need this configured deliberately. A single-currency client can move quickly. Rate settings on the plan type connect to Module 6's derivation. A plan can use different rates from actuals — deliberately, for planning at standard rates — and that is a design decision to make consciously, not one to discover when plan and actual will not reconcile.
