Expenditure type classes

A class is the transaction mechanics. It determines how the cost enters the system and how it behaves. Straight time and overtime — labour from timecards. Expense reports — employee expenses. Supplier invoices — costs from Payables. Usages — nonlabor resource consumption. Miscellaneous transactions — manual and adjustment entries. Burden transactions — generated burden cost. Inventory — material issued from stock. One expenditure type can carry several classes. "Travel" might allow expense reports and supplier invoices. The class list on the type determines which sources can use it. IF YOU DO NOT ALLOW THE CLASS, THE COST CANNOT BE RECORDED AGAINST THAT TYPE. This is the most common "I cannot code my expense to that" complaint — failure case one, and it arrives from a user rather than from a report. Each class maps to where the cost comes from.
