Implementing Global HR: From Enterprise Model to Live Workforce · Module 10 · The Employment Model and Assignments
Creating work relationships
Lesson 102 of 175 · 12 min
Hire an employee — person, work relationship and assignment created in one flow. Then add a second work relationship for an existing person, with a different legal employer. Create a contingent worker relationship and a non-worker relationship. Look at the primary flag across multiple relationships, and at the service dates and where they derive from. The second-relationship case is the one to watch properly. It is what the whole person-relationship split exists for, and most people have never seen it built. Watch the primary flag — downstream processes and reporting key off it. And understand original hire date versus latest start date, and which statutory entitlements use which; that is the setup for the seniority dates module.
