Assignment statuses

Lesson 105 of 175 · 10 min

Review the delivered assignment statuses and their HR status and payroll status components. Create a custom status. See where status drives behaviour — payroll eligibility, security profile inclusion, reporting. Move an assignment through statuses, and look at a suspended assignment and what it does and does not stop. Status has two components and they are independent. A worker can be inactive for HR purposes and still active for payroll — that is how final payments work. It confuses everybody initially, and misreading it produces a failure later in this module. And security profiles can include or exclude by status. A profile that excludes inactive assignments will hide workers on long-term leave. Ask whether that is what the client wants — the lab turns on exactly this question.
