Implementing Global HR: From Enterprise Model to Live Workforce · Module 14 · Workforce Records and Schedules

Activity centers and workforce scheduling

Lesson 140 of 175 · 12 min

Configure an activity center — the location or unit that scheduling operates against — then the scheduling attributes on jobs and positions, including the scheduling group from Module 6. Show how worker availability is derived, walk the scheduling capabilities at a high level, and show where scheduling data connects to time and absence. Scope this honestly: workforce scheduling is a substantial topic and a full implementation is its own project. This lesson covers the Global HR setup that makes it possible, and nothing more. Activity centers matter for clients with shift operations. For an office-based client, say plainly that they can skip this — respecting the learner's time builds more trust than padding the module does.
