Build a geographic hierarchy from the loaded geographies. Create a public holiday covered by country, a regional holiday covered by a sub-national geography, a company shutdown covered by an organization, and an event with an exception for one population. Load a full year of holidays for one country in bulk. Then verify against a worker — open a worker in each country and confirm the correct non-working days appear — and show the effect on an absence duration calculation. That verification step is the lesson. Configuration that looks right and gives a worker the wrong holidays is the norm, not the exception. Always verify at worker level, in each country, and do not let it become a quick check at the end: it is the point of the walkthrough. Load three years forward and set an annual reminder. And regional holidays are the most commonly missed requirement in multi-country implementations.…
