Implementing Global HR: From Enterprise Model to Live Workforce · Module 14 · Workforce Records and Schedules

Directory and organization chart

Lesson 141 of 175 · 9 min

Configure the directory lookups controlling what appears in the employee directory, the organization chart display options, then show the chart against the loaded population and the tree from Module 5. Show the public person information settings from Module 2 controlling what is visible, and show deep links to the directory and person spotlight. The directory is the most-used page in the system by ordinary employees. What appears there is a data protection decision — phone numbers, photos and reporting lines are all choices, not defaults to accept. The delivered configuration is a starting point, not an answer. Deep links are useful for embedding into intranets and communications, so it is worth knowing how to build one.
