Implementing Global HR: From Enterprise Model to Live Workforce · Module 11 · The Action Framework, Employment Flows and Terminations
Configuring actions and action reasons
Lesson 111 of 175 · 13 min
Review the delivered actions and their action types, create a custom action, create action reasons under several actions, set which are available to which user groups, configure legal-employer or country-specific availability where supported, and see the action appearing in the transaction flow. Group the reason list by what the client will report on. Design the report first, then the reasons. That is the practical form of the previous lesson's argument, and it is also the lab's first deliverable. And when retiring a reason, disable it, do not delete it. Historical records reference it — the same rule as the lookup codes earlier in the course, and the same symptom when it is broken.
