Lab: run the employment lifecycle end to end

Lesson 119 of 175 · 2 min

An hour, and this lab runs a person's whole working life through the system. The first deliverable sets the order for everything else: action reasons designed backwards from a specified turnover report, with the report definition included. The report first. That is the deliverable, and it is the habit. Then: approval rules for promotion and termination, with escalation and delegation; secured approval notifications configured; a hire, a promotion, an internal transfer and a cross-legal-employer transfer, all with approvals; two terminations — one voluntary, one involuntary — including reassignment of the terminated manager's reports; one termination reversed; a rehire of a previously terminated person, evidencing one person record; and the employment data issue check run clean. Two acceptance criteria catch people. No orphaned reports after termination — checked, not assumed. And the rehire creates a second work relationship, not a second person. That is the second time this criterion has appeared
