Implementing Manufacturing and Materials Management: From Empty Plant to Costed Work Order · Module 10 · Work Definitions

Loading work definitions in bulk

Lesson 104 of 188 · 10 min

Prepare a work definition load file, load a small set and verify. Show two seeded errors — resource not defined, operation sequence conflict. Correct and reload, then verify by opening a loaded definition and checking operations, items and resources. The full master data load sequence: items, then structures, then work centers and resources, then work definitions. Keep it as a runbook — it applies to every project, and it is the single most reusable artefact in this phase. Verify by opening one, not by trusting the count.
