Assign resources to operations, set usage rate and basis — per unit or per batch — set the resource as scheduled or not, set the principal resource where several are used, show the resulting operation duration calculation, then change a usage rate and show the schedule change. Basis is where errors hide. Per-unit setup time on a thousand-unit order is a thousand setups. Setup is per batch; run time is per unit. Get this wrong and both schedule and cost are wildly out — and it is the most spectacular failure in the module, because a two-day job becomes three weeks. Non-scheduled resources still charge cost but do not consume capacity, which is useful for supervision or inspection. Do the duration arithmetic on screen.
