Implementing Global HR: From Enterprise Model to Live Workforce · Module 6 · Jobs and Positions
Evaluation criteria and valid grades
Lesson 68 of 175 · 9 min
Configure evaluation criteria for jobs and positions, record an evaluation against a position, configure valid grades on a job, match the position valid grades with the job grades, and look at the validation at assignment time. Valid grades constrain what a hirer can select. It is a quiet, effective control that prevents a great deal of later data cleanup, and one of the few places where restricting a list costs nothing. Evaluation criteria support job architecture and pay equity work. If the client has a grading methodology, this is where it lives — and if they do not, do not invent one for them.
