Walk each attribute group and explain the downstream consequence, not the field. Inventory attributes — stockable, transactable, reservable, lot and serial control, locator control. Lot control here overrides the organization default set in the organizations module. Planning attributes — planning method, make or buy, lead times, safety stock; these drive Planning, which is adjacent to this course and consumes what you set here. Costing attributes — costing enabled, inventory asset value; these determine whether the item is valued at all, and getting them wrong produces inventory that physically exists and financially does not. Manufacturing attributes — whether the item can be built, and its default work definition behaviour. Purchasing and sales attributes — briefly, since Procurement and Order Management are adjacent. And structure attributes — whether the item can have a structure, and the supply type default the work definitions module will use. Costing-enabled and inventory-asset-value are the two attributes…
