Creating organizations

Create a department-type organization, set the location and effective dates, create several organizations reflecting the Meridian structure, show existing organizations from HCM if present — noting that PPM classifies what is already there rather than duplicating it — and review the list. IF HCM IS IMPLEMENTED, THE ORGANIZATIONS ALREADY EXIST. DO NOT CREATE PARALLEL PPM ORGANIZATIONS. CLASSIFY THE EXISTING ONES. Creating duplicates is a common and messy error — failure case seven, and it produces a reconciliation problem in reporting that nobody can undo cheaply. Organizations are effective-dated. Reorganizations are date-effective updates.
