Business units and the project accounting function

Lesson 29 of 198 · 12 min

Review an existing business unit, or create one. Assign business functions and enable the project accounting business function. Set the primary ledger and legal entity in financial reporting, show the business unit now appearing in PPM setup tasks, create a second business unit for the Meridian scenario, and show a business unit WITHOUT the function, and where it fails to appear. THE PROJECT ACCOUNTING BUSINESS FUNCTION IS THE SWITCH. Without it the business unit is invisible to PPM. First thing to check when a business unit does not appear. The ledger association is where project accounting eventually posts. Module 12's transaction account definitions attach here. Business unit set assignments come in Lesson 14.
