Lab briefing: the Halden Works structure

Two and a half hours — the longest lab in this phase. Read the scenario twice before you start. Halden Works has three sites in one country, all under one legal entity. Bergen makes finished assemblies, a hundred and eighty staff, holding raw material, WIP and finished goods, plus a quarantine area for supplier material awaiting inspection. Skien makes sub-components shipped to Bergen, ninety staff, and also holds a small finished goods area for direct customer shipments of spare parts. Central Warehouse has no manufacturing, holds bulk raw material for both plants and consolidates finished goods for shipping, and also stores customer-owned tooling for two contract customers. Inventory value must be reportable separately for Bergen and Skien. The warehouse's stock is reported with Bergen's for management purposes, but Finance wants to know that it is physically elsewhere.
