Two plants, a warehouse, an item master, subinventories underneath them, and stock actually moving. That is where this module goes. The chain: location, item master organization, inventory organization, parameters, manufacturing enablement, subinventories, locators, relationships — and then, at the end, your first transaction. Nine links, each depending on the one before it, and the failure shows up at the far end, at transaction time, looking like something else. This is the longest module of the phase, and here is why. This is where the shape of the whole implementation gets set. Costing granularity, security scope, planning behaviour, and every report anybody will ever run — all of them inherit their shape from decisions made in the next six lessons.
