Legal jurisdictions and authorities

Lesson 36 of 175 · 9 min

Review the delivered jurisdictions for one country, then create an identifying jurisdiction for a second — setting the legislative category and the identifying flag. Create the legal authorities: a tax authority and a social security body. Then look at where registration codes are defined and where they later surface. The identifying jurisdiction is what a legal entity registers into, and it must exist first. That is the first link in this module's dependency chain, and it is the one people skip past. Some countries need several jurisdictions, because income tax and social insurance are frequently separate registrations — so know which is which rather than assuming a country means one. And registration numbers print on statutory output. Take them from the certificate, not from an email.
