Implementing Global HR: From Enterprise Model to Live Workforce · Module 4 · Legal Entities, LDGs, PSUs, TRUs and Business Units

Creating legislative data groups

Lesson 39 of 175 · 8 min

Create an LDG for country one — name, country, currency, and the cost allocation structure if used — then one for country two. Associate each LDG with the correct PSU. Then show where the LDG appears in downstream setup pages, and what a page looks like when no association exists. Shortest lesson, biggest consequence — and that is worth saying out loud. Eight minutes of building against the most permanent decision in the course. That effort-to-impact ratio is the argument of the LDG design lesson, made visible. The PSU association is the join between the employment structure and the payroll structure. Verify it before moving on, and watch the verification rather than assuming it. On naming: the country name plus "LDG" is enough. Do not get creative — these appear in dozens of lists of values, and cleverness reads as noise.
